Free On-line SAT/ACT Test Prep

Anne Arundel County Public Libraries has an excellent resource for both ACT and SAT online practice tests.  County residents can access this service by visiting:  http://libguides.aacpl.net/education

On the left hand side, under the "Test Preperation" select either "Learning Express" or "Testing and Education Reference Center."

Use your library card number to log on.  To obtain a library card, or to get the phone number to call if you have misplaced your card, visit http://www.aacpl.net

Helpful Information

See Mrs. Lane-Sullivan in the School Counseling Office for applications and further information. Almost all scholarships require a transcript (a school record of your grades and test scores). Please allow five (5) working days for processing transcript requests unless special circumstances arise and are approved by Mrs. O'Donnell. If you are requesting more than one scholarship transcript, please submit all requests at one time. Letters of recommendation should be requested at least ten (10) working days in advance.

College Entrance Exams

Several college entrance tests are offered as a special service to Southern High School students. The PSAT is offered at the school to all students grades 9-11. The SAT is administered at neighboring schools, with registration material available in our guidance office and online. The ACT is offered at Southern.
